When preparing for the foundation of the monastery in Brazil, the sisters sought out suitable work to support their monastic life, in keeping with the Trappist tradition of earning one's bread by the work of one's own hands.
Two possibilities came from the two Trappist communities in Chile: the jams and jellies produced in Quilvo; and the chocolates produced in Miraflores. A survey quickly indicated significant interest in the consumption of chocolate in Brazil, and the decision was made. The entire manufacturing process, including professional secrets for preparing raw materials, tempering, and mastering the various subtleties of recipes, was generously passed on to the sisters by the Trappist monks of Miraflores.
Once the sisters arrived in Brazil, they needed to develop a product that could compete with existing brands already on the market, so they began a patient search for the best raw materials available in the country, and used these to develop an exclusive recipe. The final result is their current product, recognized and appreciated by all as a superior quality artisanal chocolate, available in various flavors: milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, rum cordials, mint cordials, and amaretto cordials.

Product presentation in a simple, elegant box, with a tray of individual candies, is unique to the Brazilian market, and is an excellent option for a special gift.
The one thing that was missing, that could add value to this product, so carefully produced by the sisters in all its details, within the silent, prayerful atmosphere of the monastery, now comes with the “Authentic Trappist Product” label, so generously granted by the ITA (International Trappist Association). For this, all the sisters of the Trappistine monastery of Our Lady of Boa Vista, in Santa Catarina, Brazil, are enormously grateful.
