History
Chimay 150 is the result of the experience of generations of brewers who have succeeded one another for 150 years in Chimay's brewery. A limited edition (150,000 bottles) of Chimay 150 was brewed for the very first time for the brewery's 150th anniversary in 2021.
Due to the strong demand of the privileged few who had the opportunity to taste it, Chimay decided to add this exceptional beer to its permanent assortment.
Launching the '150'
To launch this new beer, a hiking trail through the surrounding woods has been mapped out in the colors of Chimay 150, starting at the “Auberge de Poteaupré.” It will be accessible year-round, with the 10 kilometer loop trail being an echo of the 10-degree beer. At the end, a cold beer will be available to quench the hikers' thirst at the “Auberge de Poteaupré.”
