Medieval guest quarters renovated

Located next to a fish pond behind a dam, this wing of the old medieval guest quarters  is now the Welcome center for all Orval's visitors.

Here you can immerse yourself in their Cistercian scriptorium and, via video presentations on the large screens, learn about the history of the abbey and the life of the monastic community today, as well as the architecture of the abbey as it has changed throughout the centuries. 

Animated models will then introduce you to the architecture of the abbey over the centuries.
